I joined the computer world, kicking and screaming, about fifteen years ago. Prior to that, I had always had a staff whose job it was to do what was necessary to run our office by way of the various computer programs.
Of course now I spend more time in front of the computer screen than I ever did in front of a TV. And, although basically self-taught, I'm pretty agile with the programs and the latest add-ons.
But when it crashes, it crashes, and my technology skills immediately begin being flown at half-staff.
Bill Marra is a retired military man who spent almost his entire career learning about, building, installing,
running and running computers... computers of every size and fashion.
So when he and Jackie, his wife, decided it was time to retire and settle down in one place, they opened A-On Wheels Computer Repair Co.
The are in a large store front on East Northwest Highway at Plano Road (Dallas), across the highway from the big Kroger's store and shopping center.

Steve, I stumble through life here in Dallas.
I was around Houston, Galveston and New York, St. Louis, New Orleans and Beverly Hills so long and for so many years, that I was a wiz at knowing The Places and The People in those cities.
Not Dallas. I've had to learn by trial and error, so I figure others might benefit from my "findings." Mr. Marra really does a good job, and quickly. I've never had to bring anything back for another look.
By the way, I'm going to do my best to make it to your July lecture. I know it'll be good.
